Maintain The Water Quality - Tips and Tricks
🧾 Keep Your Water Clean and Your Engine Protected
Maintaining water quality in your Icetub is simple when using the right routine. Your filter, AquaFinesse, and cover work together to ensure safe, clean water, and to protect your Icetubs Engine™ from damage.
🔄 Use the Filter Correctly
Your Icetub’s filter plays a critical role in trapping dirt, debris, and bacteria that pass through the water system.
Here’s how to make the most of it:
Replace Monthly
We recommend replacing the filter every 4 weeks. If you use the tub frequently (especially after workouts), you may need to replace it even sooner. A clogged filter restricts water flow and risks triggering PL errors or damage to the cooling engine.
No Drainage Required
You don’t need to drain the tub when replacing the filter. Just unscrew the used filter and twist on a new one.
🌊 Let the Engine Run
The Icetubs Engine™ includes a built-in ozonator that purifies the water continuously while the engine is running. This prevents bacteria from developing and keeps the water clean, especially when temperatures rise.
Only turn off the engine if you’re planning to empty the tub or won’t be using it for a longer time, such as during a vacation.
🧪 Add AquaFinesse Weekly
We recommend using AquaFinesse as a weekly treatment. It breaks down biofilm and helps eliminate bacteria without using harsh chemicals, making it safe for your skin and stainless steel components.
-
Use half a dose for the first 2 weeks after a water refresh.
-
After that, use the full recommended dose.
-
Never add salts, chlorine, or essential oils.

💦 Refresh the Water
While your engine and filter do the heavy lifting, it’s still important to replace the water from time to time.
-
Refresh every 1–2 months, depending on usage
-
Refresh more often if you skip AquaFinesse or don’t shower before use
-
Use the Thermo Cover to extend the water life by keeping debris out
🛡️ Cover the Tub When Not in Use
Using the Thermo Cover protects the water from leaves, pollen, and particles that can clog the filter. It also helps maintain temperature and protects the tub from the weather.
Leaving the tub uncovered can lead to blocked filters, restricted water flow, and possible engine damage.
🧼 Deep Cleaning
Every few months, we recommend a full clean of the tub interior. Use a stainless steel cleaner, wipe dry, and rinse thoroughly before refilling with fresh water.
🔥 Seasonal Considerations
-
In winter, store the engine indoors if it’s colder than -3°C
-
Avoid salty, humid environments (like coastal locations) unless properly protected
