(Re)Place the Filters
🧾 How to Keep Your Engine Running Smoothly
Regularly replacing or reattaching your Icetubs filter helps maintain healthy water flow and prevent common issues like the PL error. Below are two clear guides: one for replacing a used filter and one for placing a new filter after refilling the tub.
🔄 Replacing the Filter
Follow these steps to swap out your filter safely and avoid air-related errors:
1. Turn off the engine
Make sure the unit is powered off and unplugged.
2. Locate the filter connection
Inside the Icetub near the engine connector. This is where water gets drawn into the system.
3. Remove the old filter
Unscrew the used filter by turning it counterclockwise (lefty loosey). Dispose of it properly.
4. Release air from the new filter
Hold the new filter upside down (thread side up) under water until all air bubbles are gone.
5. Install the new filter
Screw the filter into the connection by turning clockwise (righty tighty) until snug.
6. Power on and test
Plug the unit back in, power it on, and check if everything runs smoothly.

We recommend replacing the filter every month, or sooner if you notice a decrease in performance.
💧 Placing the Filter After Filling
When installing a filter in a freshly filled Icetub, follow these quick steps:
1. Fill the tub fully
Ensure both the inlet- and outlet are completely submerged in water.
2. Turn off the engine
Unplug the unit completely for safety.
3. Locate the filter connection
Find the lower pipe on the inside of the tub. This is where the water is pulled into the engine.
4. Release air from the filter
Hold the new filter underwater, upside down, until all air has escaped.
5. Install the filter
Attach the filter securely by twisting it clockwise until tight.
6. Restart and check
Plug in the engine, turn it on, and confirm the water flows correctly without triggering a PL error.
