Setup a Drain Kit for Your Icetub - Step by step guide

🧾 Overview

While we continue to improve the drainage system of the Icetub, many customers have successfully built their own solution for easy water removal.
This guide shows how to install a simple and effective valve-based drain using standard components and a Gardena hose.

🔧 What You’ll Need

Below are the three parts required to create a smooth-draining setup using your Icetub’s built-in 1-inch drain connection.

  1. 1-inch Stainless Steel Elbow with Internal Thread
Connects directly to the drain under the tub.

  2. 1-inch Stainless Steel Ball Valve
This part lets you open or close the drain to control the flow.

  3. Gardena Hose Connector

Thread Type: The drain on your Icetub uses a 1-inch European outside screw-thread

🛠️ How to Set It Up

  1. Screw the elbow onto the Icetub’s drain

  2. Attach the ball valve to the elbow

  3. Add the Gardena connector at the end

  4. Connect a standard hose to the Gardena fitting

  5. Turn the ball valve to begin draining

The water exiting the tub is clean and chemical-free. You can reuse it for your garden or plants.
