Setup a Drain Kit for Your Icetub - Step by step guide

While we continue to improve the drainage system of the Icetub, many customers have successfully built their own solution for easy water removal.
This guide shows how to install a simple and effective valve-based drain using standard components and a Gardena hose.
🔧 What You’ll Need
Below are the three parts required to create a smooth-draining setup using your Icetub’s built-in 1-inch drain connection.

1-inch Stainless Steel Elbow with Internal Thread
Connects directly to the drain under the tub.

1-inch Stainless Steel Ball Valve
This part lets you open or close the drain to control the flow.

Gardena Hose Connector
Enables easy hose attachment for draining.

Thread Type: The drain on your Icetub uses a 1-inch European outside screw-thread
🛠️ How to Set It Up

Screw the elbow onto the Icetub’s drain

Attach the ball valve to the elbow

Add the Gardena connector at the end

Connect a standard hose to the Gardena fitting

Turn the ball valve to begin draining
The water exiting the tub is clean and chemical-free. You can reuse it for your garden or plants.
