Water leakage - How to solve it
🧾 Understanding the Issue
If you're noticing water around your Icetubs Engine or under the tub, the cause may be a loose connection, condensation, or a small drainage component.
This guide will walk you through the most common causes and how to check for each.
🔧 Step-by-Step: Identifying and Fixing the Source
✅ 1. Check the Connection Between the Engine and Icetub
Leaks at the point where the engine connects to the tub are often due to an incomplete seal. Follow these steps:
-
Make sure rubber seals are in place on both sides of the connection
-
Push the rubber seal firmly against the blue screw thread on the tub
-
Tighten the blue connector until it's secure
-
Optionally, apply Teflon tape to the threads for extra sealing power

✅ 2. Consider Heating Mode Condensation
Water pooling under the engine may also be condensation, not a leak. This is common in Heating mode, especially in humid environments.
-
Heating the water can produce vapor, which condenses on cooler surfaces
-
Place a towel beneath the engine during Heating mode to absorb excess moisture
-
Condensation should reduce once the set temperature is reached

✅ 3. Check the Engine Drain Cap
A small drain cap is located at the back of the engine and is used to release air from the system. If it's loose, water may escape during use.
-
Locate the drain cap on the back
-
Twist it to confirm it is tight
✅ 4. Safety Assurance
Your Icetubs Engine is built with waterproof protection. All electrical components are isolated from moisture zones. Minor leaks or condensation do not pose a safety risk, and the system can continue to operate during these checks.
