Winter Care - Protect your Icetub

🧾 Keep Your Setup Safe During Freezing Weather

As winter approaches, taking a few preventive steps will help protect both your Icetub and Icetubs Engine™. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to keep your system running smoothly all season.

🌡️ Protecting the Icetubs Engine™ in Cold Weather

Set to Automatic Mode

When temperatures drop below 1°C, switch your engine to Automatic Mode. This setting prevents water from freezing while keeping the engine operational.

Move the Engine Indoors at -3°C or Lower

If the forecast predicts temperatures below -3°C, we strongly recommend disconnecting the Icetubs Engine™ and storing it indoors. This precaution reduces the risk of internal damage due to ice buildup.

🛡️ Shielding the Icetub from Winter Weather

Use the Protective Caps

If you’ve removed the engine, seal the water connections using the included caps. This keeps your Icetub insulated and clean during winter.

Safe to Use While Surface Freezes

You can continue to use your Icetub outdoors—even if a thin top-layer of ice forms—so long as the engine is safely disconnected and stored.

📜 Warranty Requirements

To keep your warranty valid, follow these two important rules:

  • Use Automatic Mode when outdoor temperatures are under 1°C

  • Store the Engine indoors if the temperature drops below -5°C

Failing to follow these guidelines may void your warranty coverage.
